it started with anxiousness got worse from there
house in a nice suburb but worse for wear
sink filled with dishes, loungeroom with trash
all sprinkled liberally with old conepiece ash

our host an old mate from our halls of learning
solid as she-oak could be more discerning
always surrounded by freeloading assholes
parked on the sofa, passing that glass bowl

dickhead attendees, none of them friends
standing alone while my mind slowly bends

Cerberus in bloom
the dog in the loungeroom
is seconds away from snapping snarling
tearing us all limb from limb
Lachlan's unaware
he'd have to be to dare
to treat the beast as if its just some
harmless puffed up ball of hair
its owner is some piece
of fucking macho scum
a manly fucking SS driver
telling us all
how the dogs on the run
how they've both had to flee
the beast's 300 man killing spree

but Lachlan keeps at it
baiting the monster
cuddling on up til it seems like he wants to
take the thing home
give it a bone
and marry the beast next week on a beach
and the rest of the room laughs
at the sight
but this farce only
panics me more because
its gonna kill us
its gonna kill us all
